Federal Judge upholds eviction moratorium in MA.

Last week a Federal Judge upheld Governor Bakers temporary ban on evictions. An article from the Worcester Business Journal states:

” Judge Mark Wolf told attorneys Thursday that he will not intervene to lift the ban, according to both the lawyer representing plaintiffs and a state lawmaker who co-authored the original moratorium. Wolf plans to explain his decision in detail in a forthcoming written opinion, according to the online court docket. “

Gov. Baker signed the initial moratorium back in April which was set to expire in August, but he subsequently extended the moratorium which now set to expire Oct. 17. It is unknown as of now if Baker intends to extend it again, but it is something worth keeping a close eye. The full article can be found here.
